In their first match, they got goals from Michelle White and Sarah Hazenfield to defeat the defending KY state champions 2:0. Lexington Catholic was a very good and well organized team that passed well, but could not penetrate. Hudson goals came off great possession penetration and a CK. Tremendous atmosphere and facility. Hudson advanced to finals to play Indianapolis North Central, victor over Germantown of Memphis, TN. 9/7 I Hudson (3-1-2) 1, I North Central (IN) (4-0-1) 1 Final of the inaugural Mid-America Cup played in 100 degree heat at 1 p.m. CDT in Indianapolis; Hudson scored first in 8th minute on great individual effort finish from Michelle White. Should have added a second in 20th min. when freshman Christie Kotynski missed open goal from 10 yds. Hudson defenders got caught flat in 39th min. to give up goal. Second half was survival of the elements for both teams. Great showing for Ohio team by drawing with the defending IN runners-up, whose only loss was to national power Carmel, IN in their last 43 matches. Unreal facilities and hosts; facilities better than most D-I colleges. They hope to expand the tournament in future years. 9/9 II Hamilton Badin (3-2) 2, I Cincinnati

Central (1-5) 1 2 nil at half on 2 very nice goals by Grandview, a header and a 15 yard shot. SCC then stepped up their play and finished the first half with more composure and played a strong second half creating many chances behind a great job in goal by junior Sarah Cochran who stopped a penalty kick and made several excellent saves. Central goal was off a flip throw-in from Megan Schmittauer to Amy Miller who touched it in at the near post. 9/12 II Ft Jennings (5-0-0) 4, II Crestview (1-2-2) 0 9/14 II Ft Jennings (6-0-0) 3, II Lima Bath (2-5-0) 1 9/14 ll Hubbard (7-1-0) 5, l
