Baker, and Dina Harris. The defense of Erica Bortmas, Sarah Emrich, and Kayla

great game..shots were 13-12 ND, possession was 60-40% central. the lady
irish went up 1-0 in the first 15 minutes, and held off a furious ND run most of
the second half, with ND getting the equalizer with under 1:30 to play on a 30
yard bomb. (second game in a row central allowed the tying goal on a shot of +30
yards in the second half.) central made 3 runs at goal in the final 1:30 minute
but ND held them off. good result for central against a much improved ND team
that has already beaten D2 powerhouse hubbard and D1 powerhouse ashland.

Battle of two former conference rivals. Most of the game was a stalemate.
Both teams battled in the middle of the field and neither team controlled the
pace of the game. Score at halftime was 1-1 with a slight edge in posession
going to Medina. Brecksville scored 3 goals within ten minutes towards the
middle of the second half putting the game away. The game was closer than the
score indicated.

In a key Ohio Heritage Conference match that began at 5:30 PM while the day
was still hot, Greeneview opened the game with quick agressive offense and found
the net twice on goals by Jenny Good and Ashley Amburgy. They held of many
attacks by Central even though their keeper was injured in the pregame and they
had to make a last minute sub in goal. Central responded with 2 Molly Moorman
goals in the second half. Greeneview had 13 shots while Central had 20.

It was an excellent matchup of two of the strongest teams in Northeast Ohio.
Brecksville scored in the first 10 minutes by Rochelle Richendollar and played
very well in the first half. Mentor came out strong and got off many good
attempts in the second half. Mentor tied the score with about 20 minutes left on
a scramble goal in the box by Sluga. Brecksville scored about 5 minutes later by
Allison Schohl on a crossed ball. Brecksville goalkeeper Krista Herbst made 5
saves and Cerepak for Mentor had 10.
