Fitch must play the remainder of the season without their starting CM, Amanda Sprowl, who broke both bones in her leg in a game this past week. South took advantage of their chances. 1st goal off an early corner, 2nd on a beautiful shot late in the game from long range. Scorers- Brittanie Weitzel and Laura Marcon. Erin Mullady Central beat Liberty 3-0 earlier in the season. Good competitive game both ways with Liberty finding the back of the net on a couple of thier opportunities. Beautiful shot from Jr. Ashley Elsass hit the post and was followed in by sophomore Charlotte Halliday. Sophomore Natalie Ottavio also scored on a give and go combination from Jr. Tara Witt. Allison Wroble played excellent defense on scoring threat, Vanessa Hardin, from Central. 9/30 I Watterson (11-2) 1, I DeDales (10-0-3) 2 Winning goal came with 2 minutes left. 10/1 I Austintown-Fitch (9-3-2) 7, I Canton GlenOak (4-7-3) 0 Goals scored by Jodi Bowlen (3), Brittney Getz (2), Kelly Crosdale and Dina Harris. Boardman got their game winning goal on a PK with about 5 minutes remaining in the game. Defensive starters Natalie Capretta and Jenna Schauer out for 2nd half with injuries. Necessary adjustments took Liberty out of their game. Shots even at 10.
