Jill Ferree scored her first hat trick and Kristen Stalter made her first official appearance back from an injury. The possession was heavily controlled by Brecksville. Berea played very defensive during the whole game looking for a few Corbie Yee counterattacks. Brecksville scored the first three goals and Berea scored on a Corbie Yee penalty kick with under two minutes remaining. Brecksville cleared its bench with twenty minutes left in regulation. Berea played hard the whole afternoon and made scoring difficult. One sided game, finishing seems to still be a problem for Watterson. Quality play and builds by both sides. Goals scored by Junior Courtney Constantino and Junior Kristen Stalter. Fitch came back and scored 3 goals in the first 14 minutes of the second half to go up 5-3. Perrysburg fought back and tied the game at 5. With about 15 minutes remaining Jackson went up by scoring 2 goals within 1 minute (one on a PK). Fitch goals were scored by Freshman Dana Lucido, Junior Brittney Getz (2), and Junior Jodi Bowlen. Jodi Bowlen has scored in every game this season through 8 games with 4 multi-goal games. North Olmsted could not capitalize on an abundance of dangerous opportunities. Bowlen has 25 for the season and 61 in her 3 year career, both school records. 10/9 I Austintown-Fitch (9-3-3) 2 , II Poland Seminary 0 Goals scored by Dina Harris and Jodi Bowlen. 10-14-04 circleville-2, wellington-0 10/14 I Brecksville (11-1-3) 0, I Strongsville (12-2-1) 0 A scoreless draw between the State's #5 team, Brecksville and #6 Strongsville. 10/14 I Brecksville (11-1-3) 0, I Strongsville (12-2-1) 0 A hard fought draw between #5 Brecksville and #6 Strongsville. toledo central catholic (10-4-3) 0, notre dame (8-4-4) 0. clean, hard fought classic first round tournament game won by notre dame in sudden death PK's. regulation time went 0-0, with possession shifting back and forth. first half was 60-40% ND, second half was 65-35% central catholic. both teams had a quality chances to score, but both keepers came up big. both 15 minute overtime sessions also ended up scoreless, but central catholic almost ended it with 7:00 left in second overtime on a rebounded ball off ND keeper, but just missed. the regulation shootout was 2-2 with central freshman lauren farell having a chance to win it, but was stopped on a save to the keepers right.
