Solon out shot North O. 13 to 6 and only allowed 1 shot on goal in the second half but could not find the net. (we've all been there), Celina scored off 2 corner kicks in the first half, and 2 late goals after central catholic pushed everyone forward. much improved Celina team....having a great season. Early second half Freshman Megan Saures and Junior Lyndsey Styka teamed up to put the devils in front for the 2-0 victory. 10/11 I Brunswick (5-8-2) 0 , I Strongsville (10-1-3) 0 Strongsville had the run of play and advantage in sog 9-3. But the Brunswick defense (all freshman) were outstanding in smothering the Mustang attack. I Austintown-Fitch (8-3-3) 2, I Boardman 0 Long time local rivals and Federal League foes. Both Fitch goals by senior Jodi Bowlen. This gives her 16 goals in the 11 games she played this season. Bowlen now has 79 career goals, a school record. 10/15 II Bishop Hartley (11-2-3) 2, II Bishop Ready (6-8-1) 1 Ready was a very well-prepared team and was very well-coached tonight. The new exactly what Hartley wanted to do and took it away from them in the first-half, causing Hartley to adjust. Score was 0-0 at the half...Hartley scored 7 minutes into 2nd and Ready tied it up 2 minutes later. Hartley scored off a corner-kick with 7 minutes to go. Not sure why Ready's record is below .500 (6-8-1)...one of the more competitive, athletic and well-coached sides I've seen this year in Central District D II...well done by both teams... Evenly played game for both side. Solon outplayed North Royalton in the first half but fail to convert their changes. Solon kept the possession most of the game and out-shot West G.. West G.'s forwards gave hard time to Solon defence.
