It was a productive fall soccer season for the Silvert-Noftle family of Yellow Springs.
Bulldogs senior Duncan Silvert-Noftle, the state's Division III player of the year, was one of 75 players nationwide to be tabbed an All-American by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America. Silvert-Noftle scored 42 goals and had 16 assists this past season in helping Springs to its second consecutive D-III regional final.
Among the programs recruiting him are Marquette, Boston and Cincinnati.
Duncan's older brother Garrett also had a stellar campaign, earning first-team All-North Coast Athletic Conference honors as a senior defender at Ohio Wesleyan University.
Garrett Silvert-Noftle helped the Battling Bishops surrender just 17 goals in 19 games and record 10 shutouts. He was also the first defensive player to earn MVP honors in the 28-year history of Ohio Wesleyan's Fred Myers Invitational.
