Monday's girls roundup  From the Dayton Daily News

Senior forward Stacey Lucas provided the bulk of the offense as the Wayne girls defeated Tecumseh 5-0 Monday on the opening night of the high school soccer season.
Box Score: 1. Lucas (Alford); 2. Lucas (Wegerzyn); 3. Lucas (Muntz); 4. Lucas (Thomas); 5. Galbreath (Lucas). Records: Wayne 1-0; Tecumseh 0-1.


Newton 11, Dixie 0: Kayle Haney unofficially set an area single game scoring record with seven goals for the Indians. Jessica White added two goals and Kira Sesler three assists for the winners.


According to the Ohio High School Athletic Association record book, the seven goals ties her for No. 5 on the all-time state list.


Missy Gregg of Alter and Cortney Bastain of Brookville had the previous area single game record of six goals in a game.


Northmont 1, Tippecanoe 1: Amber Mescher scored the tying goal for the Thunderbolts with six minutes left on an assist from Monica Armstrong. Lauren Sharpe had the goal for Tipp, which is playing in Division I competition for the first time this season.

Hamilton Badin 2, Fenwick 0: Sammi Burton and Heather Raines had the goals for the Rams.
