Local squads earned recognition in the first state poll for 2005.
In boys, Fairmont earned a 6 spot, and Centerville right behind at 7 in the DI poll. Carroll and Alter were 1 and 6 in DII. Rounding out the boys side, Springfield Central Catholic earned the 2 spot, and Dayton Christian is 10.
Beavercreek comes in at 6 in the DI girls poll. In the DII girls poll, Alter hits 2, and Middletown Fenwick comes in at 8.
