Carroll finished an unbelievable run in the Mid-Miami League with a 7-0 boys high school soccer victory against Springboro on Tuesday night.
The win marked the 19th consecutive season that the Patriots have won the Mid-Miami League championship without a loss. Counting their 11-0-0 league record this season, their overall league mark for 19 years was 142-0-6.
The streak will not be broken because the MML will disband after this school year. Jeff Popella had a big night with four goals and two assists for the state's No. 1 Division II team, which improved to 14-0-0.
